Over the past few days, there have been sightings in Raymond of a fox hanging out where he shouldn't be. The fox is behaving aggressively toward humans and has been spotted lurking in human-inhabited areas in broad daylight, both signs of a potential problem.
As of yesterday evening, the fox had not yet been caught, although local officials are aware and are trying to catch it. If you see the fox or any other abnormal animal activity, please contact your local animal control office immediately.
The auction of USA Springs has been postponed until at least the end of September due to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by Garrison Place Real Estate Trust, owners of the property.Filing a Chapter 11 petition allows 90 days for the company to reorganize and make arrangements to pay creditors under a new time frame. Construction is near completion at the new Candia Courthouse

Effective July 21, 2008, the Auburn District Court will move to 110 Raymond Road [Route 27/Business 101] in Candia. The new court is located across the road from the Candia post office. Court jurisdiction includes the towns of Auburn, Candia, Deerfield, Northwood, Nottingham and Raymond. [more]
Ashley Brown of Deerfield, NH competed at the Granite State Morgan Horse Show on June 20 through the 22 and finished first in the equitation class Hunter on the Flat. Ashley will be awarded a certificate from the American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) for her performance and the chance to compete for the seat’s Gold Medal at the 2008 Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show held in Oklahoma City in October.
Excellence in equitation is valued by the American Morgan Horse Association and is recognized through the AMHA Medal Classes, held at local and regional Morgan and all-breed shows. [more]
